Swiss National Day - August 2025
On Saturday, August 2nd, 2025, almost a thousand guests gathered at The Hudson in New York City to celebrate Swiss National Day. From the moment the doors opened, the atmosphere was filled with excitement, laughter, and the sounds of Switzerland. The celebration began with the U.S. and Swiss national anthems, followed by remarks from Swiss Consul General, Ambassador Niculin Jäger, and Silvan Lehner, President of the Swiss Society of New York.
Guests enjoyed authentic Swiss cuisine, from raclette and bratwurst to delicious cake, while the Swiss Kiosk proved to be one of the day’s biggest hits, offering beloved Swiss classics to make you feel like home. Entertainment ranged from alphorn music and a children’s magic show to a lively raffle and DJ set that carried the festivities through to the evening.
The day’s joyful moments were captured in photos, which you can view in the gallery below, and Swiss National TV was on-site to film a feature (in German, only in Switzerland; or from the US via VPN to Switzerland).
We thank our sponsors for their generous support, and our volunteers for their dedication in making the event run smoothly. Most of all, we thank everyone who joined us for bringing your smiles and Swiss spirit - we can’t wait to see you next year!
